Check out the difference in number of categories to search at the very top of the page for 2 major American portals (Yahoo and MSN) and 2 major Chinese portals (Sohu and Sina).

    If i recall correctly, you linked the aesthetics of abunduance (internet) to urban, metropolitan density (real world), right?

    This abundance is linked to life.
    as Silence is often considered as death, an empty page would decrease its interest.
